America's Riviera

The Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach was the world's first private pickleball club (2020) and has 31 courts including a stadium court. It hosts the PPA Newport Beach Open, the APP Newport Beach Open, and MLP Newport Beach. The city is one of the most active pro pickleball venues in the country.

The Coachella Valley

The Coachella Valley is a pickleball mecca. PPA Masters runs at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage every January as one of the four PPA Slams. The Courts at PDR has 32 dedicated courts and 700+ members, Paradise Pickleball has 21, and the free public scene runs through Civic Center Park, Demuth Park, and Fritz Burns Park.

America's Finest City

San Diego is the closest thing pickleball has to a capital. Barnes Tennis Center hosts the USA Pickleball National Championships, MLP regular season, and a Golden Ticket qualifier all in 2026, and the metro is stacked with public courts and commercial clubs.

Johnson Ranch Sports Club in Roseville has 24 dedicated courts as one of Northern California's largest pickleball complexes. Spare Time Indoors brings 14 world-class indoor courts, Lembi Park anchors 12 free dedicated outdoor in Folsom, and The Picklr Rancho Cordova is the area's first dedicated indoor venue.

LA's pickleball scene is finally getting dedicated infrastructure. PowerPlay in Carson and Pickle Alley LA in DTLA opened in the last two years, the free public scene runs through Cheviot Hills, Mar Vista, and Plummer Park, and MLP Newport Beach is a 45-minute drive away.

Goldman Tennis Center in Golden Gate Park is SF's main hub with 17 dedicated courts. Presidio Wall has 6 free courts in a national park setting, The HUB Silicon Valley in Campbell has 20 indoor courts, and Mitchell Park in Palo Alto has 15 free public courts.

Cape Coral →

Waterfront Wonderland

The Courts Cape Coral, an $11M facility with 32 dedicated pickleball courts that opened in 2024, has put Cape Coral on the pickleball map. It hosts the Zimmer Biomet PPA Cape Coral Open every February and runs a 2,000+ member community.

Daytona Beach →

World's Most Famous Beach

Daytona is a pickleball pilgrimage. Pictona at Holly Hill, just north of the city, has 49 dedicated courts, a 1,200-seat championship stadium, and hosts two PPA Tour events a year plus the APP Daytona Beach Open and the US Senior Pickleball Nationals.

River City

The Yards Ponte Vedra Beach has 12 lit outdoor courts. Jarboe Park Neptune Beach (8 dedicated lit outdoor free) anchors the Beaches scene. PickleRage Jacksonville brings smart-court indoor, and the Brown Family YMCA Nocatee adds 8 courts (5 outdoor + 3 indoor).

The City Beautiful

The USTA National Campus in Lake Nona has 14 dedicated outdoor pickleball courts alongside its tennis facility. Crush Yard opened in January 2025 as a 48,000 sq ft indoor pickleball-and-entertainment venue with 10 climate-controlled courts. The Picklr Orlando North, Pictona at Holly Hill nearby, and a growing free public scene round out the city.

Naples →

Pickleball Capital of the World

Naples is the spiritual home of pickleball. East Naples Community Park hosts the US Open every April with 55,000 fans and 3,700 players, and the city's 60+ public dedicated courts there are open the other 51 weeks a year for $5 a day.

Magic City

Miami's pickleball boom is real. DETA Pickleball Club in Kendale Lakes has 17 lighted courts as the county's largest. Sip & Pickle in Wynwood does lights-and-DJs nightlife pickleball, and The Fort in nearby Fort Lauderdale has 43 courts.

Tampa →

Cigar City

Tampa has a strong public court network anchored by Copeland and Rowlett Parks, two big new indoor venues (Tampa Pickleball Crew in Ybor, Life Time Harbour Island), and the annual PPA Challenger at Life Time.

The Villages →

Pickleball Capital of the World

The Villages has 200+ pickleball courts across 40+ recreation centers, making it the densest pickleball community on the planet. Eisenhower (24 courts), Rohan (18), and Saddlebrook are the anchor venues. Court access requires Villages residency or a guest pass.
