Adding the 2 existing courts, Vettiner is now the largest free outdoor pickleball complex in Louisville with 14 dedicated courts. Wyandotte Park at 1104 Beecher St near Churchill Downs has 6 lit dedicated courts with an ongoing Wednesday evening summer league. Louisville Metro Parks runs dedicated courts at Iroquois Park (4), Crescent Hill (4), Fern Creek (6), Hays Kennedy (6), Nelson Hornbeck (6), Petersburg (4), Riverview (4), Hounz Lane (3), Des Pres (3), and a dozen additional locations. The free public capacity is exceptional for a Southern city.
